James Stewart is a top 3D director and the founder of the Geneva Film Co. in Toronto, Canada. Through his production company, James has produced over 25 projects in digital 3D, including cinema commercials, concerts, stop-motion and CG animation. He is a director, storyteller, artist, digital innovator and multi-platform visual designer who’s work ranges from mobile to giant screen, from motion graphics to stereoscopic 3D installations.
Recent projects include 3D cinema commercials for Samsung, Lexus LFA, Sprint and JCPenney; live 3D concerts films of the Montreux Jazz Festival and Kylie Minogue; The Human Eye with Cornell University; the stop-motion 3D film Foxed!; Ontario 4D for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics; and Werner Herzog’s acclaimed Cave of Forgotten Dreams 3D. He has also worked with the Rolling Stones, Justin Timberlake and the Olson Twins.
A sought-after expert on 3D, his appearances include 3D Entertainment Summit, 3D Experience, BAFTA, DGC, Banff/Nextmedia. He is a five-time speaker at Cannes Lions and presented at the 2011 TED Conference.
