Chris del Conte

Vice-President, Business Development // Prime Focus World

“Working in VFX and 3D is fulfillment of a lifelong dream for me. With Prime Focus’ technology, talent and spirit to keep that dream growing, I am inspired every day to seek out opportunities to expand our capabilities and help produce future success stories.”

In 1977, at the impressionable age of 10, Chris saw Star Wars for the first time and it transformed his perceptive on all things in life.

Since then, Chris has always had an unquestionable passion for VFX and 3D and has been a key player in several VFX success stories in the last two decades. Chris’ first tenure at Prime Focus World was as a Senior Producer between 2008 and 2010. During this time he was instrumental in PFW’s work on the “Op’s Center” sequences of James Cameron’s Avatar (2009) and helped build the initial 3D conversion workflow pipeline. He went on to produce the 3D conversions of Clash of the Titans (2010) and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (2010). Rejoining PFW as Managing Director in 2012 he was integral in the expansion of our services to PFW’s new 200+ seat facility in Vancouver. During this time he also oversaw the 3D conversions of Men in Black 3 (2012), Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and the original 1939 Hollywood classic, The Wizard of Oz.

Currently Chris operates as VP of Business Development, focusing on strategic expansion of our 3D conversion, visual effects and animation services globally. He is a key contact for ongoing clients as well as nurturing key strategic pre-existing industry relationships and creating new business avenues. He also supports the overall process of management and decision-making to ensure the productions and overall organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and return goals.
